about the project

This project is a photographic essay created as part of a food photography assignment, centered around an underground
pop-up called Hunger. The work explores the figure of “the butcher,” focusing on raw materials, hands-on process, and the ritual around meat rather than the final dish. Through a dark, moody visual language, the goal was to add value for the viewer by revealing the passion, tension, and instinct behind the act of cooking.
