About the Project

This project is a photographic essay created as part of a food photography assignment, centered around an underground
meat pop-up. The work explores the figure of “the butcher,” focusing on raw materials, hands-on process, and the ritual around meat rather than the final dish. Through a dark, moody visual language, the goal was to reveal the passion, tension, and instinct behind the act of cooking.
